Are Christian Preppers failing to trust God?

Paul the Apostle is one of my heros. The guy is tough and smart. He survived a shipwreck and then was promtply bitten by a poison snake which he shook off into the fire. He clearly believed in God’s power to provide, protect, and to do the supernatural. When he faced seemingly insurmountable circumstances, he just shook them off. One might expect Paul to be a bit reckless and immune to concern regarding circumstances considering his way of life. But American believers may be shaped more by culture and experience than they realize. We have lived in times of cheap oil, a strong currency, a civil society, and constantly growing food output. The problem is that our future may more closely resemble the experience of the (grain shortage) corinthians and Paul’s sober minded advice may be more useful than our groundless optimism. How then shall we live?

A one world government is trying to emerge. Powerful corporations, central banks, secret societies of uber-wealthy elite have been centralizing power from behind the scenes for decades. They are now openly using political ideologies and tension between economic class, religious worldviews, and ethnic groups to set the conditions for worldwide feudal system where they are the only rulers. They offer a world where dissent, liberty, and organized resistance are not just forbidden, they are crushed ruthlessly. In short, the fate of the quality of life, the religious freedom, and the very lives of future generations rests on us and how we handle the question:

How now shall we live? Continue reading
