Can I ask you a question?
It’s time that we the people employed the wisdom of Solomon and the wisdom of Jesus. Why should we let the usurpers frame the debates? We need to question the questioners with a barrage of questions. We also need to question our neighbors and take the information distribution job back from consolidated media. It would be foolish to continue to answer the questions that fools ask. Continue reading

Expecting the supernatural
Paul the Apostle is one of my heros. The guy is tough and smart. He survived a shipwreck and then was promtply bitten by a poison snake which he shook off into the fire. He clearly believed in God’s power to provide, protect, and to do the supernatural. When he faced seemingly insurmountable circumstances, he just shook them off. One might expect Paul to be a bit reckless and immune to concern regarding circumstances considering his way of life. Bue he had an appreciation for reality and for the very real risks his followers were facing and he gave advice that was very practical and which was grounded in reality.
Many in the church today mistakenly assume that their refusal to acknowledge circumstantances, reality and systemic risk is tantamount to faith. But American believers may be shaped more by culture and experience than they realize. We have lived in times of cheap oil, a strong currency, a civil society, and constantly growing food output. The problem is that our future may more closely resemble the experience of the (grain shortage) corinthians and Paul’s sober minded advice may be more useful than our groundless optimism. How then shall we live?
A one world government is trying to emerge. Powerful corporations, central banks, secret societies of uber-wealthy elite have been centralizing power from behind the scenes for decades. They are now openly using political ideologies and tension between economic class, religious worldviews, and ethnic groups to set the conditions for worldwide feudal system where they are the only rulers. They offer a world where dissent, liberty, and organized resistance are not just forbidden, they are crushed ruthlessly. In short, the fate of the quality of life, the religious freedom, and the very lives of future generations rests on us and how we handle the question:
How now shall we live? Continue reading

What I Know For Sure…
Jesus, during his earthly ministry, lived during a time when evil men were ruling over God’s people. He had knowledge of what was to come and how it would affect him adversely personally.
Matthew 26:
37He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
He knew what awaited him, but because his “tuner” was set to the voice of his Father, he did not use his own logic or reasoning powers to escape suffering and death. He wrestled with his foreknowledge and he prayed to the point of tears of blood. But ultimately he simply chose to solider on towards his future, whether it was one he welcomed (“how I have longed to gather you as a mother hen”) or if it was one he dreaded (“take this cup from me”).
Jesus had learned two important rules that guided his activities and his focus:

Raising Durable Kids
I recently went to see Robin Hood with my fourteen year old son and we were talking about the amazing precision of the archery and the incredible distances the arrows would travel. We recounted the impression of Robin of Lockley pulling that bow back, slowly, deeper, ignoring all distractions, focusing on his target, using all his might to prepare that arrow for its flight, its destination.
When our kids are released into the world, lets make sure we have given them the momentum and the guidance to stike the target of God’s purpose for their lives. As parents we, like noone else, are uniquely positioned to raise kids whose faith will endure, and who will fulfill their destiny. And as I am learning, parenting itself can have its share of exploits and adventures and more than its share of satisfaction.

The last straw…
In Ancient Egypt, Pharoah had a problem: the people of God, they were his problem. Sure Joseph had been one of them and he was pretty cool, saved the nation and all that. . . but then they were multiplying like locusts and well, that’s a problem. Continue reading

It keeps me up at night…
This week, there were more cracks in the code. The federal reserve admited to breaking the law. A brave whistleblower nailed a prediction on silver market manipulation while the “watchdog” agencies yawned and did nothing, zero news broke on the subject from any station. Further light has been shed on recently passed legislation and the corrupt and hidden aspects would make a sailor blush. And perhaps the oddest bit of news, the traditional media giants have lost half their audience yet they refuse to report meanginful news and they persist in serving as the government’s propoganda arm, reporting fluff that noone believes in as if it were credible news.
Corruption and hidden deals are not new in politics or power, I get that. What is new is the brazenness. It begs the question, why are the criminal politicans, stock market manipulators, and media moguls being so bold? John 3:19 states that “men love darkness better than light because their deeds are evil.” So why now, are they bringing their evil deeds into the light?
I don’t know, but it keeps me up at night…

So He told us what was coming and THIS is our strategy…really?
Jesus went to great lengths to make sure we knew IN ADVANCE that the days would come when…
1) All nations of the earth would eventually unite in their hatred and persecution of Christians (MT 24:9)
2) A leader in this united world government would emerge and would deny people the right to buy or sell anything unless they trade in their faith for allegiance to the beast. (REV 13:16-17)
3) He also made it clear that we should seek wisdom and use it to navigate the challenging times and that we should attempt to endure to the end. (REV 13:18, MT 24:25)
So, we had a 2,000 year head start, we knew what was coming. We had time to develop strategies, to set plans in action, to position ourselves as well as possible. How are we doing so far?
Let’s put it this way, if we were living in Noah’s times we would drown. If we were living in Joseph’s time, we (and all of Egypt) would starve. Continue reading

Taking our lead from Joseph
In ancient Egypt most people were involved in agriculture. In agriculture, the weather plays a huge role. One bad storm can ruin your crops. So, most farmers would not put all their seed in the ground. They would have next season’s seed set aside. And they would have enough food/money on hand to get them to at least the next harvest season.
Can you imagine the fear, the uncertainty, the paranoia that a farmer would feel if he been reckless. If had all his seed in the ground, crops near harvest, and a deep dark hail storm approaching, how would he feel? Continue reading
