Nourishing Traditions

However, the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, addicting themselves to seducing spirits, and to teachings of demons; teaching lies in hypocrisy; burning up their own conscience; hindering marriage; abstaining from foods … Continue reading

Farmer: “The government can’t stop me from feeding my neighbors”

“I never dreamed that the US government would try to prevent citizens from choosing their food and where they get it, much less putting people in jail for doing so. ”

“If our farm stopped feeding its owners’ families, there will be literally hundreds of children who will suffer malnutrition and even starvation. Your honor, I would much rather spend the rest of my life behind bars or even die than to be found guilty of such a gross sin before the Almighty God.”

5 Principles of Preparedness

“If a family falls into crisis and they have no preparations then once the average two weeks of supplies they have on hand has been used up, they will drop to a poverty standard of living. If that same family had a month’s worth of supplies stored up, they would have a buffer of a little more than a month before they suffered consequences of their situation. Likewise, if they had a year’s supply of essentials stored, they would effectively be giving themselves a year to be able to recover and plan in the event of a paradigm changing event.

What can I really know for sure?

Jesus, during his earthly ministry, lived during a time when evil men were ruling over God’s people. He had knowledge of what was to come and how it would affect him adversely personally.

Matthew 26:

37He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

He knew what awaited him, but because his “tuner” was set to the voice of his Father, he did not use his own logic or reasoning powers to escape suffering and death. He wrestled with his foreknowledge and he prayed to the point of tears of blood. But ultimately he simply chose to solider on towards his future, whether it was one he welcomed (“how I have longed to gather you as a mother hen”) or if it was one he dreaded (“take this cup from me”).

Jesus had learned two important rules that guided his activities and his focus:

Will the Church wake up in time?

As I look around, I see two realities. 1) Inertia. People are still shopping, eating out, buying new cars and essentially acting as if they believe everything is fine and will be fine. 2) WAR on we the people. The … Continue reading
